With storage pressure at 70-Bar, the ANSUL SAPPHIRE PLUS system provides more design flexibility and economy by using fewer gas containers and smaller pipes. Additionally, hIgher pressure also means gas containers can be located further away from the protected space. By using selector valves, it is possible to protect multiple hazards with a single container bank.
SAPPHIRE PLUS uses 3M Novec 1230 fire protection fluid. This clean agent is safe for use in occupied work spaces as it is non-toxic to humans and safe for the environment. Unlike other gas suppression systems, SAPPHIRE PLUS is fast acting. Automatic detection is provided for single or multiple hazards using a control panel with smoke, heat and flame detectors. The suppression agent is released within 6 to 10 seconds of activation, minimising damage to equipment and further risk. Most importantly, when a fire is suppressed quickly, the result is less damage, lower refurbishment costs and reduced downtime.
