ANSUL A-101/LVS Fire suppression systems can be used for large, off-road type construction and mining equipment such as large excavators/shovels, draglines, haul trucks, and other heavy machines work around the clock, often in rugged, hazardous environments. The system can also protect underground mining equipment and speciality vehicles such as slag pot and/or slab carriers and tunnel boring machines.
The combined performance of the ANSUL A-101/LVS Twin-Agent Fire Suppression System provides the ultimate protection. While FORAY dry chemical knocks down flames the LVS agent cools surrounding areas minimizing the possibility of reflash.
A multi-purpose dry chemical agent is used to combat fires in combustible materials including wood, paper and plastics (Class A). Also, other fires include flammable liquids, gases and greases (Class B), and fires involving energized electrical equipment (Class C).
A wet chemical agent that is a blend of organic and inorganic salts, coupled with surface-active ingredients. As a result, the blend provides a strong measure of freeze protection along with the foaming properties associated with conventional Class B liquid agents. The agent flows into areas where flammable liquids settle, furthermore providing both suppression and cooling of superheated surfaces. Most noteworthy is that the agent, the blanketing the fuel, cuts off oxygen to help prevent any reflash.
FM Approved Twin-Agent
The combination has been proven effective in applications where superheated equipment, like a turbocharger, is used.
Why invest in a Vehicle Suppression System?
Protecting mobile equipment of all shapes and sizes presents a unique set of challenges, often requiring multiple solutions. With ANSUL A-101/LVS Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems, protection is assured, 24-hours-a-day, 365 days-per-year. Investing in an ANSUL fire suppression system can minimize repairs and replacement materials. Furthermore, a fire suppression system can also keep insurance cost down, most of all reduce downtime and prevent operator injury. Torvac can design, install and service a system that offers the ultimate fire protection for a specific vehicle.

The LVS fire suppression system agent provides both fire suppression and superior cooling of super-heated surfaces, while blanketing the fuel and cutting off oxygen to help prevent reflash. It flows readily into hard-to-reach areas along the same path flammable liquids may have flowed. The wet chemical agent provides a strong measure of freeze protection along with the foaming properties associated with conventional Class B liquid agents.
