Kane Constructions, along with leading designers COX Architecture and Neeson Murcutt Architects, will create a new flexible touring exhibition hall for the Australian Museum. This hall will span two levels, allowing for either one major exhibition or two smaller exhibitions to run simultaneously. Ensuring proper fire protection is also a crucial part of these developments.
The works will also significantly improve the visitor experience with the creation of new education facilities, a new museum shop, a second café, expanded members’ lounge, cloaking and amenities.
Kane Constructions chose Torvac Solutions as it’s industry specialist in special hazard protection. Torvac provide a comprehensive range of fire protection systems. This ensures the safety of the priceless International exhibits, invaluable collections of Australia’s heritage, and all those that visit the completed facilities.
The works are due for completion in time for the Australian Museum to host the internationally acclaimed exhibition, Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, in early 2021.
Torvac Solutions proudly accepts the role of fire protection system supplier and key partner in this important work.
