Most fire suppression failures in data centres are not caused by the agent.

They are caused by poor system design.

Across Australia, organisations rely on Inergen® clean agent systems to protect critical IT infrastructure. But selecting the agent is only part of the solution. Storage pressure, discharge performance and system components all influence how effectively a system performs.

Inergen systems are typically designed in accordance with AS 4214 – Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems, ensuring compliance with Australian requirements and insurer expectations.

Inergen® systems are available in 150 Bar, 200 Bar and 300 Bar storage pressures, allowing designers to optimise systems for the building and risk profile.

150 Bar Systems
Often used where plant room space is available. Larger cylinders are required, but these systems can be practical and cost-effective where space is not constrained.

200 Bar Systems
A balanced solution between cylinder footprint and storage efficiency, suitable for many commercial and data centre environments.

300 Bar Systems
Ideal where space is limited. Higher pressure allows more agent to be stored in fewer cylinders and can also support more efficient pipe network design, sometimes reducing the amount of pipework required. These systems can utilise ANSUL® iFLOW technology valves, designed to regulate discharge and deliver consistent agent flow for unmatched performance.

Another key consideration is valve and actuator selection. We support systems using ANSUL actuators, including the CV90 and CV98, and assist with installations, upgrades and modernisation of existing systems.
